Where a product is classified and sold as an Ayurvedic, Siddha or Unani medicine, applicable regulatory requirements, licensing and labelling are governed by the relevant laws and competent authorities. Ministry of AYUSH has clarified that it does not itself grant manufacturing licences or approvals for ASU drugs; licensing is handled by the applicable State Drug Licensing Authority.
